There are several groups of bacteria. There is archabacteria, Thermophphiles, Methanogens, Halophiles, Fubacteria, Bioremediation, Strict aerobe, Strict anaerobe, and Facultative anaerobic. Archabacteria is unicellular and are believed to be the first inhabitants of the Earth. These bacteria live in extreme habitats such as hot springs, swamps and lakes. Thermophiles are bacteria that love the heat, Methanogens produce methane gas, and Halophiles love salt environments. Bioremediation are bacteria that can clean the earth by eating oil spills. Strict aerobe are bacteria that only survive in oxygen environments while strict anaerobe lives in no oxgen. The facultative anaerobe can live in both environments. Fubacteria are the most common bacteria and mostly use oxygen. They are also used in making foods and can cause disease.
Fubacteria
Fubacteria
Bacteria have different shapes. They can be cocci, bacilli, or sprilla. Cocci means round, bacilli means rod, and spiral means spiral. Bacteria can be in planes and in chains.
